ABOUT THE ROLE...

The role will be working across all areas of the Club from greeting customers to ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy. Castle Hill RSL provides an excellent training ground for people with aspirations to move on to supervisory or managerial roles in the future.  This role is casual and requires full Friday & Saturday night availability as well as additional days or nights.

The role of Instructor is to provide hands-on instruction to students in developing water safety skills and swimming technique according to our acclaimed, systemised approach. Castle Hill Gymnastics offers competitive Men's and Women's programs as well as many Recreational programs including Beginners recreation and Kindergym along with teens, adults, acro, Fitter for Life and special needs. Due to Program growth, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our coaching team, and are seeking a qualified & committed Intermediate/ Advanced Men's Coach to support our competitive boys.

The role will involve working closely with the MG coaching team across multiple competitive squads to deliver quality coaching of the Australian Men's program. If you have experience in coaching Men's gymnastics and are looking to share and expand your skills with the guidance and support of our highly qualified team, this is the Club for you!  

The position is currently casual but can be tailored to PPT for the right applicant. The role involves working with the MG coaching team across multiple competitive squads and is currently approx 10-18 hours per week, negatable for the right applicant. Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience. Staff development is heavily subsidised and encouraged, with ongoing opportunities within the centre. There would be an opportunity to expand working hours across our programs if desired.

  2ND ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT

Working closely with the Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, this role supports the execution of daily maintenance operations and agronomic programs. You will contribute across all areas of course preparation, turf health management, irrigation, and team leadership to help deliver elite playing conditions.

About you:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (minimum)
• Current Chemical Application License (AQF3 or equivalent) preferred
• Strong understanding of turf management practices and agronomy
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include:

• Assist in the daily preparation and presentation of the golf course
• Support the planning and execution of agronomic programs
• Operate and maintain a range of turf equipment, including spray units
• Assist with chemical applications in line with program requirements
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Monitor turf health, identifying pest, disease, and stress pressures
• Assist with irrigation scheduling and water management
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to team members

 3IC / FOREMAN

The 3IC / Foreman plays a key role in coordinating daily operations and leading the maintenance team on the ground. Acting as the link between management and staff, this role focuses on quality control and maintaining consistent presentation standards across the course.

About you:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management 
• Demonstrated leadership potential and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a hands-on environment
• Pride in delivering high-quality course presentation

Some of the tasks you may be involved in include:

• Assist in planning and coordinating daily maintenance activities
• Liaise with Assistant Superintendents to deliver daily objectives
• Maintain presentation standards across all course areas
• Monitor quality control and task completion
• Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and team support
• Operate machinery and contribute across all maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with WHS and club procedures
• Assist with course improvement projects

Our dedicated team at Lynwood Golf & Country Club maintains our 18-hole course, driving range, practice green, miniature golf and surrounds, spread across 230 undulating acres that includes many natural features such as indulations, wetlands and natural rough. The team is looking for passionate people to join them as they strive towards creating tournament level playing surfaces.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities our team might tackle daily include:

• Course fair way, greens & rough maintenance, including mowing, watering, spraying etc
• Maintenance and repairs of tees, greens, bunkers & course pathways etc.
• Repairing irrigation lines, tree pruning, digging etc.

We have room in our team for qualified trades people (Greenkeepers/Horticulturalists/Landscapers) as well as those without qualifications and/or less experience. So, if you have skills you think would transfer well into our team, and a strong ‘hands-on’ work ethic, we encourage you to apply!
